DIY or Call Us?

There is one safe check a homeowner can make: open the door fully, crouch at the sill, and look for the adjustment screw heads at the bottom rail. If the rollers are simply out of adjustment, a quarter-turn clockwise on each screw may lift the panel enough to restore smooth travel. Do not remove the door from the track - ECO 8000 and 9000 Series impact panels weigh 180-240 pounds, and the bottom rail edge is sharp aluminum. A dropped panel will damage the frame, the glass, or your foot.

Everything else belongs to us. Roller replacement requires lifting the panel onto blocks, removing the old carriage through the bottom rail access slot (which ECO welds shut on some production years), and setting the new roller to the correct datum height so the interlock seals properly. Track cap replacement means cutting the old cap without scoring the sill pan, then bedding the new cap in silicone that has to cure before the door returns to service.
